For 2009 Grand Bend Motorplex combined its three successful bike races -- the Hully Gully Summer Sizzler, the Suzuki Canadian Fastest Street Bike Shootout and Rocky's Harleys by The Beach -- into one All Bike weekend event with an expected attendance of over 600 bikes June 20-21.
Saturday will feature the Sizzler event with race classes for all, from beginners right up to race bikes including the Kevin Blackmore Memorial Q16 race that attracts Blown Alcohol Bikes, Funny Bikes and other combinations.
Saturday also features the Canadian Fastest Street Bike Shootout, with competitors looking to be the first street bikes to run 200mph+ on Canadian soil (last year's top speed was 197mph) and the CMDRA Nitro Harley Qualifying.
Sunday is the traditional Rocky's Fathers Day "Harley's by the Beach" event featuring the! only Nitro Harley race in Eastern Canada (part of the CMDRA series that runs out west). These 220mph monsters will be the feature attraction, but there will also be Harley Destroyers, other Harley classes and an all makes class, in addition to hundreds of Harleys on display for the Show & Shine.
